Your goal this week
Share your event listing page.
We’ve created the templates below to make things easier for you. However, please feel encouraged to craft your own unique social media posts, email newsletters and posters if you prefer.
(Just note that any material you create that includes the Victorian Law Week logo needs to be approved by us. Please email this material to firstname.lastname@example.org.)
Do you need to post to every social media channel? Not necessarily.
Base your approach on meeting your potential attendees (your ‘audience’) where they already are.
- Are there organisations that already talk to your audience?
- Does your audience get their news in a Twitter feed, or in a newspaper?
- Are they more likely to see a picture on Instagram, or on the wall of a local café?
Which social media channels does your audience use?
You don’t need an account on every social media channel – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, and so on. That may mean that you only post on Facebook. Or, you only post on Instagram and TikTok. Focus on the channels your audience already use.

We’re hosting an event for #LawWeekVic2022
What’s Victorian Law Week? Held in May, it’s a program of community events and activities that is designed to improve the public’s understanding of the law and the legal system. At its heart, it’s a program for everyday Victorians. It’s there to help Victorians understand their rights, find answers to their questions and to find out what help is available.
We’ll be running our event, ‘[insert your event title here]’ on [insert your event day and date here]. Learn more at [insert your event listing URL here]
