Consumer Affairs Victoria is running the session ‘New rent rules – ask us about your responsibilities and rights’. Learn about the new rental laws and how they might impact you as a renter or rental provider. Come along to have your questions answered and find out a bit more about your new rights and responsibilities.

Come and talk to the team about public housing issues such as problems with repairs, enforcement actions or evictions. Have your questions answered and get help making a complaint.
10:00am-12:00pm – Fines and unfair treatment – make a complaint in 7 minutes
Think you’ve had a fine incorrectly issued by a local council or government organisation? Learn more about contesting a fine and get help making a complaint.
12:00-1:00pm – Meet the Victorian Ombudsman, Deborah Glass, and find out about her investigations
Meet the Ombudsman and hear about how she’s conducting high profile investigations. Find out more about the investigations into the ‘hard lockdown’ of public housing and improperly issued parking fines.
1:00-3:00pm – Issues with the Business Support Fund – make a complaint in 7 minutes
Have you had issues with the Business Support Fund? If you’ve had an issue with this Fund, such as delays in providing outcomes, poor communication, incorrect assessments or grant denials, the Victorian Ombudsman team might be able to help.
1:00-3:00pm – Issues with your council – make a complaint in 7 minutes
Got an issue with your council, such as a complaint about parking fines, bin collection or an unreasonable decision? Get your questions answered and get help making a complaint.
