What’s in a sentence?

Hear from County Court Chief Judge Peter Kidd and Deputy Chief Judge Meryl Sexton as they provide their unique perspectives in discussing all things sentencing, including the principles of sentencing, factors considered when a judge sentences an accused and whether the factors are different for a young or youthful offender.

This session is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the sentencing process from those who know it best, where you can ask all kinds of questions related to the law.

Attendees are encouraged to submit questions ahead of the session. Please email questions to communications@countycourt.vic.gov.au with the subject line ‘What’s in a Sentence?’

This event will be held on Zoom. Bookings essential.
