This online public lecture hosted by the Neighbourhood Justice Centre (NJC) will highlight how justice innovations are adopted across the justice sector. The NJC creates innovative ways for the community to have better access to and confidence in the justice system.
During this presentation, you’ll hear from Louise Bassett, Manager, Strategy & Innovation, NJC and Richard Hodge, Senior Manager, Service Delivery & Transformation, Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (MCV), as they explain the design and roll out of the online application form for family violence intervention orders.
This project is as great example of digital transformation in court systems, earning recognition from the Royal Commission into Family Violence and at the Melbourne Design and Good Design Awards.
During the second part of this lecture, you will hear from the Hon. Judge Alex Calabrese from Red Hook Community Justice Center, New York, who will discuss taking inspiration from the NJC’s model.
