The Victorian Electoral Commission’s (VEC) Passport to Democracy program is a free school-based civics and citizenship education program that teaches young people about the electoral system and helps them to explore how they can actively engage in their democracy.
As part of Parliament Open Day on Sunday 19 May, the VEC is teaming up with Parliament House to bring Passport to Democracy to the general public. Take a self-guided tour of Parliament House and as you discover the building’s architectural heritage, you can also learn more about our electoral legislation and processes, preferential voting, completing a ballot paper and much more.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn about democratic processes in the home of Victorian democracy.
Presented by Victorian Electoral Commission, Parliament House.
