Making our courts more compassionate, one dog at a time

Giving evidence in court is one of the most stressful events that a person can experience. Since 2017, the Office of Public Prosecutions Victoria has used professionally trained dogs to reduce the stress experienced by victims and witnesses, and improve the efficiency and quality of the legal process.

In this webinar you will meet court dogs Lucy and Kiki, who provide comfort and emotional support to people of all ages.

Learn how the dogs have been trained, how the program operates – and you might also get to see some of the tricks the dogs can do, such as turning the pages of a book.
