Introduction to Family Law: Parenting and Property Matters

The end of a marriage is an extremely difficult, sometimes traumatic experience. This session, run by Fair Family Law partners Gordon Johns and Rebecca Thompson, aims to make legal side of divorce clearer.

This session explains procedures surrounding divorce, parenting and property. It walks audience members through the divorce application process, introduces new concepts of parental responsibility, identifies options regarding parenting arrangements and explores the legal issues inherent in dividing assets and property.

In addition to this crucial information, this session also covers spousal maintenance and the specific legal issues that those in de-facto relationships face.

Gordon and Rebecca are experienced in complex and highly conflictual parenting matters, property settlements and intervention orders. They are highly sensitive to the role family violence plays in separation and the impact this will have on the legal matters which follow separation.

Please note: this is an event for women attendees only. If you are male and interested in a similar style event designed with Fathers and Husbands in mind, please contact us.
