Governance in sport – encouraging diversity and inclusivity

How can good governance help make sport more inclusive?

This panel discussion examines the role that governance can play in stamping out discrimination and racism in sport. It also explores the affirmative action measures that have been introduced by sporting organisations in Australia, and the positive impact of having more women involved in the governance of sporting organisations.

The panel comprises:

  • Molina Asthana (Vice President of the Law Institute of Victoria, and Principal of Swarup Asthana Lawyers and Business Advisors)
  • Margot Foster AM OLY (Founder and Director of Talk the Talk Consulting: words that count and former Olympian)
  • Melanie Jones OAM (Director at Cricket Australia, Cricket Commentator and Presenter, and former member of the Australia women’s cricket team)
